No person without a license, such as physician assistants, can inject Botox. California has some of the strictest laws governing injectable treatments. Injectable anti-wrinkle relaxants such as Botox and Dysport, and dermal fillers such as Radiesse, must be administered by a doctor; a PA, NP, or RN are also legally authorized to administer injectables under the supervision of a licensed physician. Estheticians cannot inject Botox or dermal fillers in California, regardless of doctor's supervision.
